The contribution can be material or abstract. If a person gives $ 1,000 to another so that they can organize their birthday party, it is an economic contribution, in tickets. The contribution of ten cans of paint as a donation to restore the facade of a school is also material. On the other hand, there are contributions that are difficult to quantify or measure, such as the time a subject spends on an activity.

Within the field of nutrition, the use of the term contribution is also used. Specifically, there is talk of what would be nutritional support. It is a word that is used to refer to the entire set of elements (vitamins, carbohydrates, proteins, calcium, iron...) that a food in question gives the body when it has consumed it.

Thus, for example, we can determine that cherries make a good contribution in terms of potassium and vitamin A.

This nutritional contribution is very important to keep in mind when establishing not only a healthy, complete and balanced diet but also so that a person with deficiencies in a certain nutrient can take foods that make them reach that level that is healthy and necessary.
